You work in a ton of different AV areas like residential, commercial, live, and convention. You have some freedom to pitch ideas. The company helps with tool acquisition. You work with very knowledgeable people. It's full time work. Steady paycheck. You get some holidays off. Direct management is laid back and helpful.
Cons
Morale struggles, you are a workhorse working overtime without compensation. No paid time off. 5, 10 hour shifts are routine. You often have to work out of town on your own expense until you can get reimbursed. If you do need a day off you are asked to make it up. The business runs disorderly. Roles are unclear, scope of work is unclear, compensation is unclear, expectations are set and missed. Scheduling is unclear.
