Pros
- The team at RSS is fantastic. Some of the brightest, easiest to work with people I have ever met. There are a few bad apples, of course, but it's the folks who work here that keep me here more than anything else - Great work\life balance. You can often work from home if you need to and most managers are very flexible - As others have mentioned, there's lots of free food and unlimited coffee - You get to learn a lot. This is great for people with less experience. You will generally be given as much responsibility as you want and it's easy to branch out into other areas, especially if you are technically inclined. My skill set has grown massively since starting here - Great benefits
Cons
- Not a lot of room for career growth. There's pretty much 0 upward mobility. That's why most folks work here for a bit, learn a whole lot, and then take their newly acquired knowledge and skills somewhere else - Static environment and culture. Very little changes here. Everyone is always innovating and coming up with great new ideas but it is very hard to get them acted upon. Part of it is a resourcing problem and part of it is complacency on the management side.
