A Company with Remote Perks but Organizational Shortcomings - Anonymous employee ROAS Media Employee Review

I'd like to address the feedback here personally and I appreciate you taking the time to share your review and your concerns and regret that your experience wasn't as positive as we all would have hoped for. I hope as I reply and give more context, it will be helpful not only for you to see that your feedback has been taken on board and actioned but also for others who may read my response as they contemplate applying. In terms of the feedback on my work and approach as CEO of ROAS Media, I will always try and take the path of least resistance if it makes sense to do so for us and our clients, and other times I will invest and push through with longer-term and more challenging paths and investments in time/resources where that makes the more sense to do so. Doing right by the team and our clients is something I highly value and have made a number of sacrifices over the years to stay true to this and will continue to operate with this as an integral part of our operations. The feedback on tools/recourses from that point in time is fair - like many relatively young startups, our internal documentation wasn't as robust as it could be but it's something we've heavily worked on in the last couple of months to refine further and we now have these documented within a central hub. In addition to this, we've invested further in new internal tools and expanded our management team significantly to provide more support in these areas as we continue to expand. One of the many things I take pride in for what we've built at ROAS Media is an open and honest culture that's very transparent - so while I was surprised to see the feedback on this, I am reflecting on where there could be some disconnects here that we can improve on. In terms of transparency around big company decisions, we have a few things in place to ensure everyone is aware and has an opportunity to input and ask questions such as our monthly all-hands meetings where we go through plans as a team - we also share our entire PnL performance openly and hold Q&A sessions at the end. In addition to this, I have a standing weekly office hour for anyone on the team to book my time and ask questions or share ideas and feedback and skip level meetings to ensure everyone has a chance for their voice to be heard. We're also putting out regular team pulse surveys for further opportunities to give feedback and input here. I appreciate your feedback on the remote setup and the challenges every company with this structure is working to refine - it's something very much top of mind for us and we have implemented a number of things to bring the whole team closer together and more travel across teams/markets to strengthen the culture and experience in some of our newly formed teams. Lastly, you raised a fair point on career pathways as an area of refinement and it is something we've invested a lot of time and money into in the 2nd half of this year to further refine through outside consultants and our conversations with our newer team members and those that have been with us for years to ensure we're building a company and career pathway that's exciting and provides new and fruitful opportunities within ROAS Media as they continue on this journey with us.
