Pros
ROI Revolution is a great place to get your career in online marketing started. The CEO boasts that working at ROI is like getting a master's degree in online marketing. He's not wrong - the skills I developed here over nearly 2 years have allowed me to start my own business and have granted me a specialization in the field. On top of that, the salary for an entry-level position is pretty good with room to grow. The benefits are also very good - health, dental, etc. with a fully-stocked kitchen and catered Friday lunches. ROI does a good job of making you feel like you're an exclusive member of the team - which is really needed after the grueling interview process.
Cons
1. Lack of diversity. I'm not usually one to complain about this issue, but 80% of ROI employees are 22-24 year-old sorority girls. That sounds harsh, but it makes the atmosphere very stifling if you're not part of that demographic. 2. It's very much a luck-of-the-draw as far as who lands the big accounts, which is really where your salary comes from. Some accounts will seem like they can grow but they can't due to various issues, and it's very hard to know whether you'll actually get a good portfolio. 3. Very repetitive work. Lots of people leave after 1.5-2 years because the work gets tedious and better opportunities come along.
