Pros
-Good work life balance (max hours per week i worked was 50) -Flexible time off -People I worked with were nice -Usually easy work - Experience can be used to propel yourself to an industry role with really good pay.
Cons
- Pay is not good - Benefits, especially 401k, aren't that great and can be better. - Bonus is really bad (no profit sharing or anything). Bonus is insignificant and is determined based on favouritism. - Promotions, performance reviews and salary increases are given based on favouritism and are not merit based. - Billable hours goal is unrealistic. - Layoffs are very common; usually every 6 months. - Heavy blaming is done if a project doesn't go according to plan. - Performance plans are used to quietly lay off people without giving them severance. - There are a few bad apples in RSM; try not to tell them much about yourself.
