Pros

Good medical benefits. Goes downhill from there.

Cons

Pay is mediocre compared to other places. Assemblers get paid less than 9/hr!? That's like Mcsonalds salary! They get treated like crap given our culure of fear. Technicians are worthless in troubleshooting problems. Engineers are good, but management just micromanage them to the point of quitting. The attrition rate is very high due to having unqualified managers manage people with no training or experience so they manage by fear, threats, etc. Most of us started with high holes and dreams quickly challenges in our first day when the position most of us interview for suddenly wasn't available for us anymore. That after you move, quit your previous job and move to the middle of nowhere. NOT cool.... However is common Raytheon practice, the bait and switch job. Then you are hooked for a year if you accept the relocation package. What a long year that was. Senior managers don't have mun of a clue of what happens on the floor. The abuse assemblers, engineers, technicians are put through... by the mmouth of the south .

Pros

I worked at Raytheon for over 4 years and had a great experience. The company provided many learning and growth opportunities. I was promoted twice during my tenure with the company, and my responsibility increased significantly. I felt like my management supported me and provided me with the career mentorship that I was seeking. I felt empowered and respected during my time there.

Cons

It can be difficult to work at such a large defense contractor company because of all the process and red tape. Things can move slowly, you have to be patient and pick your battles. That being said, if you learn how to work within the system, you can make a significant impact here!
