Pros

Nothing that springs to mind

Cons

Senior Managers at Radiant Financial Planning are trying to grow the business but keeping (very) small business mindsets and that is causing lots of problems at both college and client level. I would not recommend employment at radiant and I certainly wouldn’t recommend them for financial planning requirements to my family or friends. The CEO has decided he wants to use AI without a clear objective or strategy. He tends to comes up with an idea he thinks is amazing, doesn’t listen to anybody else’s opinions or feedback, doesn’t think things through, runs with it, gets in too deep, then you turns. Implementation is poor, no proper piloting of projects. The new Annual Review system is also very disappointing and strategic thinking is lacking in all areas. There isn’t a solid foundation to build upon and therefore the service clients receive is well below average whilst staff are busy trying to get their heads around all the chaotic, poorly communicated, without training changes. This leads to clients waiting weeks and weeks for accessing their funds. Ultimately there are clients at the end of this and people would do well to remember that. I am horrified at how Planners are treated here and whilst we are being targeted to generate new business I simply couldn’t recommend this place. The same conversations week in week out with clients, apologising for poor service levels which is all down to the leadership not the staff on the ground. I have found reading the reviews on here interesting and certainly the 5 star ones coming in right after the genuine ones. Sums it up really: false and doesn’t listen. You really need to do better.

Pros

Good work life balance and staff allowed to work from home

Cons

Disillusioned staff being overworked and fed BS from the top with communication carefully made to paint a completely different picture. Staff can see through spin no matter how happy and positive you try to make it look. Falseness shows and the culture isn’t as great as you claim it is. Told we are amazing as a company and that we will be buying loads of firms but stagnant for ages now and no expansion. It looks like top brass are so scared under private equity owners that costs are slashed everywhere to hide below average sales numbers. Good management people are consistently kicked out to save money and bonuses are painted as great but they are poor & lower than similar firms. And benefits aside from pension are the very bare minimum, given a poor platform & act like we should be greatful.

Your feedback is noted, and we are sorry to hear that your perception of Radiant and its business model is so negative. Like all businesses we have and continue to trade through challenging market conditions requiring at times a cautious approach to ensure the long-term success of the organisation and all its employees. Contrary to your views we believe our benefits package is highly competitive as evidenced for example by our full time holiday entitlement of 28 days and our health cash plan available to all employees. As a further example, our bonus schemes seek to recognise exemplary personal performance and where award criteria are not met through no fault of the employee (e.g. through prevailing market conditions) discretion is applied to ensure fair and equitable outcomes for all.

Pros

Radiant is a positive and supportive place to work. Having read some of the recent reviews, I feel they do not fully reflect the broader experience across the organisation. While a small number of individuals may share those views, they are not representative of the majority. This is evidenced by the number of employees who have remained with the company for five years or more, which speaks to overall job satisfaction and engagement. As with any organisation, there are areas where improvements and efficiencies can be made. Encouragingly, these are being actively reviewed and addressed. Within the administrative function in particular, there are ongoing brainstorming sessions aimed at streamlining processes and ensuring that team members’ voices are heard and considered. I can confidently say that both the administration and paraplanning teams are supported by highly capable and approachable managers who provide clear guidance when needed. As these are the departments I work most closely with, I am well placed to offer this informed perspective. Overall, Radiant offers a strong working environment with genuine opportunities for professional growth and career progression. The staff, management team, and CEO are knowledgeable and committed, contributing to a well-run and forward-thinking organisation.
