There's high turnover for a reason. - ECommerce Product Photographer Ragstock Employee Review

Pros

Paid lunches and discounts on goods.

Cons

Ragstock seemed like a fun work place with a healthy work environment. But the longer I was at the company, the worse I was treated. As my coworkers moved on from their roles, I had to absorb their roles. The turnover at Ragstock was insane to see. I started at my position with an entirely different team than I ended with. In the end, I was treated unfairly and felt as if I was being punished by the owners for not directly getting them more sales yet, being unable to commit fully to one role or one job.

Pros

Annual review with raises and advancement opportunities All employees regardless of status received a retirement package PTO after a year that is paid out after you leave. I was able to take 3 weeks paid off and also get a PTO check to help me while I job hunted Attracts a lot of cool people both employees and customers Reading other reviews I do believe my manager shielded us from most of the corporate issues and never brought that into the environment which definitely increased morale compared to other jobs that I've had that are constantly talking numbers and strategies and putting it on part time minimum wage college students. Scheduled released a month at a time 50% off used clothing I also personally loved the stand alone store and not mall location I worked at which felt more authentic to the city.

Cons

The employees it attracts can be artsy trust fund college students that don't actually need a job so they will not really take it seriously. At least for my store, it was all about who you worked with and I was fortunate enough to work with great people who all connected. But I can see how bad management can trickle down in other stores. It's really only a step above a minimum wage job. There are definitely ways to advance if you wanted to work more professionally here but it seems like with advancement comes a more unbalanced workload.
