Pros
I've read some of these reviews. Some of the poorer ones aren't fair. Every company has its ups and downs. That's the nature of working in an agency. To make a sweeping judgement based on a low point in a company's life is entirely unfair. Which leads me to:
- Company CARES about you. I feel like my work is valued an appreciated. It's not uncommon for the president or COO to walk by my desk for a high five. Their doors are always open and they welcome you in to talk if you ever need. I've never worked a job like that.
- Fooseball, soda machine, snacks and company retreats/activities happen frequently.
- Plenty of time off for when needed without the typical mindset that you're playing hookie.
- Company invests in its talent. Paid trainings and classes. Knowledge share and on the job learning. I've learned more here than any school could have taught me.
- Lots of interesting and fun to work with clients always keep things fresh and interesting.
- No micromanagement. I'm trusted to do my job and I'm not asked questions about it apart from scrums since if I wasn't doing my job it would be obvious.
- Highly talented and friendly team members make any longer hours (lets face it, which company worth working for doesn't ask a few hours of overtime) entirely bearable.
- Good benefits.
Cons
It's an agency. So as I referenced before, sometimes extra hours are asked for. But I've always been taken care of during these times. Other complaints are negligible and not unique to Rain.
