Pros

- Non-judgmental environment where all are free to ask any questions - Close mentorship, helps are always available for you to get - Young employees, hence energetic and comfortable working environment - HUGE learning curve. There's a lot of work of many difficulty levels for you to do - Since this is a start-up, it's much easier to observe other teams' working processes. Hence, besides technical skills, you can also learn about the company's business model/structure/soft skills/etc. - Enough flexibility for you to work on personal projects/work-life balance

Cons

- Workload can be very overwhelming if you can't manage your time well - Intern compensation can only cover gas/lunch expense so might be a problem if you're not financially supported

Pros

- I love love love the people I worked with, they are super nice and hardworking. - Flexible hour - It was a huge learning curved, I learned a lot

Cons

Background story: I applied for the Product Designer position, got rejected but I offered to work for free as an intern. - There was no guidance whatsoever: They said I will be working with the CEO for the UX Designer job but, he is wearing too many hats and trying to do too many things at once. - They are not willing to invest: I been in the company for about a month and they want to do everything in-house to cut cost, but you need to spend money to make money. Also the current team is about half are interns. - Only want to do it his way: When I worked here I feel like I'm more like a tool rather than a person, they hired me to do what they want rather than what the user wants. - You are replaceable: They went through several designers before I, since they can always find another person to replace you. - Intern trap
