Without warning, they stopped assigning me work, despite my consistent, high-quality output and over a year of dedication to their projects. They didn’t offer any explanation or severance benefits, and after months of silence, I noticed they’d even removed me from Slack. A direct dismissal would have been more professional, allowing me to pursue other opportunities sooner. Adding to this, they rated me 4.2 stars on Upwork, which felt undeserved, as I’d never encountered any issues, always met project expectations, and regularly received positive feedback from the team. While this rating didn’t severely impact my Upwork reputation, every point counts, and it was disappointing to be rated below 5 stars after consistently delivering quality work.
