Pros

Excellent INDIVIDUALS work there. Awesome stock purchase program.

Cons

Management is completely driven by numbers, which is to be expected; but is amped up to the extreme because of the stress that the commodities market puts on the business, both on the raw materials and finished product sides. It puts people in positions where upper management decisions change quickly, with the unfortunate effect of turning people downstream from the decision into presumptive liars (in the eyes of the people they interact with) because the last three promises they passed along were changed on them. High dissatisfaction among office personnel, with high turnover. "Collaborative" efforts to address issue have proven to be window dressing, with no real effort or commitment by anyone at any level of management (other than to "communicate better" and facilitate more meetings about the problem). I've seen sharp people work here for less than six months before we're buying them a goodbye cake. There is a substantial feeling that RathGibson is the equivalent of a "flyover state" in the world of PCC (the parent company), in that we can complain until we are blue in the face and nothing will come of it...until something goes wrong (in the numbers), and then everyone seems interested in what's going on here.

Pros

All of the employees on second shift are helpful to new employees and are willing to answer any questions you might have.

Cons

I've only been there for 4 weeks and am working through a temporary agency, the only problem I have right now is not knowing if I'll get hired in anytime soon.

Pros

Market leader in many sectors and very profitable. Great employees and leaders. The GM, HR & sales team are all great at what they do and share the same customer focused, success driven attitudes.

Cons

Owned by a parent company who manufactures a completely different product in different markets and their vision and goals don't always line up with the plants success.
