Pros
There are still a few pockets of excellent engineers to work with and learn from. Must already be specialized and skilled to get into these positions. Genuinely have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies. Very sensitive concerning diversity and inclusion (though this can be a con for some demographics). Since this is no longer a particularly appealing company to work for, you will have some reasonable job security assuming you are moderately competent.
Cons
Horribly inflated management and HR. Not competitive pay since merger. Miserble communication in every direction. May require additional hours for no additional pay, depending on program. Little to no guidance for entry level engineers. The only help you might get are from engineers who are already overburdened. Granted that you MAY have the opportunity to work on cutting edge technologies, the probability that you will work on these projects in any meaningful or exciting way is low due to all the beuracracy that is ACTUALLY required to make this company function as it is currently structured. Most likely, there is a bit of corruption in the top ranks. Currently, there are multiple criminal probes being investigated. Do a Google search. Upper managment has a comically tragic obsession with charts.
