Pros

Somewhat competitive pay A few remaining incredible employees

Cons

Nightmarish work life balance Toxic fear based culture Artificial positive reviews Questionable ethics within leadership Completely incompetent leadership, specifically the CEO and head of project operations Misleading posts about new roles Obsessive micromanagement and lack of trust Model doesn’t fit the industry — collection model is incongruous with how vendors manage their books, resulting in advisors pushing for design build contracts when the projects should be put through design before pricing. Employees are trained to tell homeowners realms fee isn’t built into their bid by vendors. It is. Juvenile culture fueled by leadership — current and former employees are publicly disparaged. At any given point somebody is crying in the office somewhere

Pros

Product market fit is spot on; homeowners need this and contractors line up to work with Realm. The home renovation industry is begging to be brought into the modern world and Realm is far and away the best company to do it. The team is extremely smart and motivated which drives results in days not weeks. There's massive upside in the space and Realm is taking full advantage of the opportunity and leaving any "competition' behind.

Cons

Sometimes long days but that's to be expected in a startup with a huge opportunity to capture.

Pros

NONE. They made us write fake reviews while they watched to offset all the recent negative ones. Unfortunately, there are no positives about this company left. Over the past few months management has fallen apart and the remaining leadership is unproductive, toxic, and exploits employees.

Cons

Employees are expected to work 6-7 days a week, even when unwell. Many of us had our compensation structure unfairly changed right after joining, leaving previous jobs under false pretenses. The business is clearly in decline, yet management continues to manipulate employees into believing there's hope. Avoid this place—if you’re already here, start planning your exit.
