Pros
fun, relaxed environment, cool to network with other employees + SBMs across the nation
Cons
I was traveling back to school & my FMS wanted to have a conversation about new ideas & deadlines. I told her I couldn't until I got back to school because I have a presentation the next morning + there is a suspicious package in the airport I was traveling through & pretty shaken up. She blew up my phone for two days straight & I decided to quit as a result because while walking into a school presentation (which is more important) she called and said it'll take no time (failing to ask how I'm doing dealing with the threat). It was a clear indication that the company is not concerned with overall being of employees. Red Bull teaches you in training specifically that it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission when implementing new ideas & completing job assignments. I was asked to trespass onto my school's dorms to sneak move-in surprise red bulls for freshman, even though it could risk me getting kicked out of school. They should pay more to SBM's depending on school population. My school is 30,000+ at Georgia State University (more populated than UGA) & harder to market to entire campus. Projects required ALOT of time because the campus is so large. $400 is not enough to spend my own gas etc. Lastly, Red Bull loves to steal ideas from students. I have a vast network & it was suggested that I contact artists in my network to perform for Sound Select though I would only receive monthly payment (meaning I would receive no additional bonus for event production, marketing, booking the artist & sales).
