Pros

A great team of nice people, who expect a lot of each other, and collectively want to deliver the highest standards of client service. Excellent training and development, and because of the growth Reeves have experienced and have planned, there are a multitude of opportunities for those with the right mindset. Reeves will listen to where staff see themselves fitting, and bend over backwards to accommodate. I've always felt that Nigel and the team have the employees best interests at heart and them to be happy in their work. We all mucked in during lockdown, and supported both the Management and each other, staying positive and delivering for our clients. It's what great teams do. Overall it's quite a young team, as Reeves believes in the "home grown" approach to building skills and careers. There's also a great social scene with monthly events to help keep individuals bonded. Best place I have worked over the 30 years I've been in Financial Services.

Cons

It' very fast paced, with very high standards (that is actually a pro for most of us), and as such Reeves might not be for everyone. That said, there is room for all types of people, ages, abilities and drive, as long as they have our clients and staffs interests at the centre of everything they do.

Pros

Pay was acceptable for some roles and the business could provide varied experience due to moving staff across departments. Some nice people.

Cons

A deeply unhealthy workplace culture where inappropriate behaviour was too often tolerated and concerns did not appear to be taken seriously. Professional boundaries felt inconsistent, and conduct that would be unacceptable in many modern organisations could be brushed aside or normalised. Management standards felt weak and inconsistent. Favouritism appeared to matter more than competence, with some individuals protected while others were criticised or overlooked. Accountability did not seem to apply equally. There was little sense of fair progression, with roles and opportunities appearing to be handed out informally rather than through transparent internal processes. Hard work and capability did not always feel recognised. The environment could feel cliquey, exclusionary and at times demeaning, particularly if you did not fit the preferred social dynamic. Raising genuine concerns risked being labelled oversensitive rather than being supported. Overall, this was not a workplace that inspired trust, respect or confidence in leadership.
