Pros
9 free movie tickets a month. 50% off on concession items. Unlimited popcorn and drinks while working. Time off is relatively easy to acquire.
Cons
Fellow employees can be great or suck. No raises. Only holiday pay 3 days a year. Management usually sucks and a person without a high school diploma could do their jobs better. Management usually hides while employees do a majority of the work. Work long hours until 2-3 am in the morning. When something breaks, the company refuses to pay out more than 25$ to fix it. Most fixes are called "the Regal way." Old theaters can resemble the "pipeworts "from the Movie "City of Ember," where all fixes are extremely improvised by employees. Most theaters do not have working air conditioning. Most do not have well-working plumbing so theaters and bathrooms flood occasionally. Sometimes concessions can get to 100' and managers will actually hog fans for themselves. There is a lot of labor that goes into cleaning. To be honest most popcorn that is eaten in the morning and through midday probably has chemicals and residue on it. 10-minute breaks that are required are rarely given out.
