Pros

The pay is very competitive. Your teammates work hard. Management participates in almost every morning huddle.

Cons

4 patients may lead to a slower day and 5 patients is overly busy. They occasionally send patients out for procedures, and an RN always has to go with them (per policy). They used to send their nurse for the day, and the rest of the nurses pts may be left with minimal RN support until the Rn returns. I mean, all the Rns are very busy. However!! They have started calling in an extra RN for the transport, leaving the Rn to stay with their patients for the day. Good change.

Pros

Qualified technicians should have no problems with this job. It's very cut and dry and simple to handle/manage if you're experienced. The nursing staff was incredibly personable and friendly. I got to work with a nationally certified ID Pharmacist, she was one of the most knowledgeable people I've had the pleasure of working alongside.

Cons

Worked PRN and was habitually pressured into working full time hours by the director because their actual full time employee was out on FMLA. They wanted to not hire her back and then started taking advantage of my grace helping cover times. Eventually they wrote me up for not coming in for a shift I was never scheduled for. I agreed outside of working hours to stop in and help when I could - mind you I had just spent the weekend out of town for a death in the family. I was told that because the Director had to come in on her day off since I wasn't there it was a red flag and she had to write me up. As if I wasn't coming in on my own day off, or the many hours worked on days off since I was a PRN technician covering for their lack of staffing. They will take advantage of kindness, underpay you, and expect from you what they will not give in return.
