Pros
Overall my experience at Regions was positive thanks to the great people who worked alongside me. When the work got to be a grind it was good to know the people in the trenches with me were there to help and be supportive. Several people in leadership were kind and genuinely good people.
Cons
The meeting culture is brutal. There are many meetings that should be emails. At times final decisions are hindered by analysis paralysis—there is an unspoken fear of making the wrong decision which stalls progress and prevents timely action, making Regions miss the opportunity to be really innovative in some spaces. While there are some leaders who are truly making a difference, there are others who are stuck in their ways and are biding their time until retirement, which shows in their unwillingness to learn new skills or ways of working.
