Pros
Had a brilliant supervisor... who left the organization after 4+ years because there is zero interest in correcting the toxic work environment in some regions. You (initially) feel proud because the company website is beautiful and professionally slick; however, your enthusiasm cools when you realize that THE only part of the company that operates to those standards is the part in New York. Brian Mayer is personable, warm and seems genuine.
Cons
These comments are based on the specific region I personally worked in, but some of this stuff is universal to the org. So much turn over that forward progress is nearly impossible because you are constantly re-recruiting, retraining and reupdating new teams - like ENTIRE teams leave, repeatedly. Corporate office has the toxicity of a glass of poison. Micromanaging at some of the highest levels that results in stress levels on-site that make employees physically and mentally unwell. Not much structure or support in the way of Policies and Procedures. Minimal technical training available on the myriad of operating software suites used every day... Is anyone listening? No, they are not. From my perspective, ironically, most of the executives at Related are SO far removed FROM THE REAL ESTATE that they have no idea how dysfunctional an environment their trench employees are working in. Sad, because there is so much potential.
