Pros

Remote arrangement Team-building once per year Some great colleagues in the team

Cons

Let's start with the salaries. It's no secret that Horizons pays its employees well below industry standards. The low wages were not only demotivating but also made it difficult to meet basic living expenses. Furthermore, the promised bonuses were nothing more than empty promises. Despite assurances during the hiring process, the bonuses were missing for few months(!!), with no response from HR or the management. Horizons advertised itself as a company that valued work-life balance and offered flexible working arrangements. However, in reality, flexibility was a problem. Management made it clear that we are not friends or family, leaving the company culture to make you treated just like a number. The constant stress and excessive micromanagement were unbearable. It felt like every move I made was under scrutiny. To make matters worse, Horizons took micromanagement to new heights by reviewing or rewriting every single email I sent. The most frustrating aspect was the incompetence of the HR manager. It seemed like they were in a perpetual state of non-responsiveness leaving me feeling ignored and undervalued after months of consistent follow-ups.

Pros

I enjoy working for Remote People because we have a collaborative team and leaders who listen to feedback. They try to actually understand the problems we face every day and implement ways to resolve them as much as possible.

Cons

It does feel like we are understaffed, but filling those roles with experienced people may also be a challenge.
