You will work with some of the most incompetent and unprofessional people you will ever meet. I go to work every day and seriously wonder how some people in management got their position. Your coworkers are certified morons. If you have above a double digit IQ you will be expected to babysit them basically.
There is no hiring standards. They will take any one. There's already been multiple incidents of vehicle collisions. Some drivers haven't even had their license for a month. Every time I'm asked to ride with some one I genuinely fear for my safety. Covid safety is none existent. Their hiring post will require vaccinations but workers have said they weren't even asked for proof of vaccination.
Your tools to complete the job is extremely limited. We've been asking for hand trucks for months and still haven't received them. Your expected to load and unload heavy materials with out the proper resources.
The dispatch team you work alongside with are all nice people but lack the proper knowledge of the materials or delivery areas. They will ask you to load materials by yourself that require two people minimum.
You will be asked to do things that are out of your job description for no extra pay. On slow days, you will sit in your truck for hours until dispatch finally notifies you to go some where at 2pm. If its a far drop, you won't be back until 5pm. The day starts at 7am...
Pay is 19 an hour. Sounds decent at first until you realize for the amount of work you do, it's not enough.
Training is terrible. The job itself is so simple that you wonder how people can still mess it up. But they do. There is no set training schedule or program. They will pair up new drivers with other new drivers and somehow expect that to be a good outcome.
Management does not have the backs of the drivers. Some clients will take advantage of the drivers because they are big spenders and management will allow it to happen. The company claims to care but at the end of the day, its all about the numbers and you just happen to be the type of number that's not important.
Benefits are mediocre at best. PTO is abysmal and they just recently released a retirement plan in which you need to complete your 90 day probation to begin contributions.
All the positive reviews I see are probably from non driver positions. Drivers get the crap end of the stick which is sad because they are the backbone of the company.
