Pros
- There will be plenty of mentorship and guiding advice from other engineers.
- Engineering & Project Management is very well structured and practically runs itself.
- Everyone at the company is warm, inviting, and willing to share knowledge.
- The in-house software libraries are impressive.
- A great place for someone to get a start into technical project management or introductory software engineering.
- You will get exposure to a fair amount of tech - SQL, .NET, PLC and ladder logic.
Cons
- Overall not a place to stay if you want to keep up to date on latest software evolution or programming . You'll be working "on rails" which isn't inherently bad or good. Just a heads up that your job is to manage several projects while occasionally contributing to codebase and advising overseas devs.
- Off-hours support sometimes required when a project is commissioned.
