Pros

No weekends and okay hours. Systems are simple and easy to navigate.

Cons

Training did not prepare me for the floor and when I asked clarifying questions for proper procedures I was given two opposing answers to multiple questions. It wasn't a different training style, it was complete incorrect and contradicting information. We are told it's a family environment and I have gotten attitude, sarcasm and rude comments from all of the management that went through my class with me. The "we treat our employees like family" saying feels like just another thing to say because at the end of the day, I have never felt so uncomfortable at a company before. During nesting, our support was the supervisors who went through the same training we did. I understand they're management, however, if they just started, they really know nothing more than the other people in class and I have been given wrong information multiple times or flat out been told "I don't know" without them trying to find an answer for me while I have a customer on the phone. It's not beneficial to your employees or your customers to have no assistance for brand new representatives taking calls. Most of the supervisors who were my floor walkers ignore my hand being raised when I need help and play on their cell phones.

Pros

The pay is competitive, especially with overtime opportunities, and there is strong potential to earn a solid income for employees willing to work hard. The job also provides steady work and consistent hours, which can be valuable for drivers looking for financial stability.

Cons

The work/life balance for roll-off drivers can be difficult, particularly when working weekends. Drivers are often scheduled in a way that keeps hours under 60 while still requiring Saturday work, rather than being given an additional recovery day during the week. With the level of physical labor involved, one day off is often not enough to properly recover. There is also a heavy emphasis on “swinging” containers. While swings can make sense when locations are far apart, many are scheduled for stops that are very close together and provide little operational benefit. Swings add significantly more physical labor for drivers and, in some cases, can actually take longer than traditional service methods. Over time, consistently working 55–60 hour weeks under these conditions can lead to fatigue and burnout.
