Pros
Great staff (case managers) that make it worth going to work. The population we serve can be difficult to work but you feel like you really make a difference, and you get to gain an understanding of the day to day life of people in crisis.
Cons
Leadership doesn't care about you as an individual, and they have favorites. They gear some people to be successful and leave behind the employees that don't fit their mold, or click, and in doing so, they lose great employees. Pay raises are scarce, and the work is overloaded on people, creating unrealistic expectations. There is not much support from leadership, which creates negativity in the office and poorly impacts morale.
