The actual employees are good hardworking people. A lot of them are trapped due to sponsorship, lack of degree, or lack a backbone to stick up for the nonsense that goes on here.
Cons
Good lord where to begin: Culture: Seonggi Baek CEO. It is a requirement that you have to call him "DOCTOR". This company portrays itself as a cool hip startup with "work from home perks" but the reality is this company is as old school as it gets. The CEO makes all the decisions, the CEO hates when you work remotely and goes to extensive lengths to check that you are indeed working, and if you question him in front of others you are immediately shunned until you inevitably quit. Your roll in this company is to endlessly design whatever Seonggi wants even when 80% of his ideas make zero sense and contradict discussions had the week before. If Seonggi's investors knew how terrible he is at managing people and projects they'd immediately revoke their funding. Slowwww Pace: Due to Seonggi having to manage every aspect of every project it takes about 5x longer to complete a project than at any other company. Often times seonggi will decide to change the design halfway through the project and then complain you are taking too long. It became comical on the last project i worked on i almost burst out laughing at how ridiculous it was getting. Zero opportunities for growth: There is zero concern for employee development or growth. Non Existant. Product The technology (the chip)) is on the razor thin edge of working and not working. it's sensitive to any particles, vibration, air bubbles etc... Customers constantly have issues because it has to be set up perfectly to actually get good data. On paper it's a great idea, in execution its a total pain in the butt to use which causes a lot of companies to just abandon the tool.. Conclusion: There will be numerous reviews written by Grace and HR to counterbalance the all the negative reviews on here. They are easy to spot as they trash the "Bad Eggs in the company". The reality is that the true bad egg is Seonggi.
