Pros

- Huge opportunity for growth. Junior employees are offered more and more responsibility based on performance and aptitude. Management definitely values your work at Riot over any previous experience. That said, this isn't a stepping stone company, Riot invests in you heavily and expects the same in return. - Despite Riot growing super fast over the last few years every Rioter I've met seems to really fit the culture. Highly intelligent, results oriented and generally fun to be around describes almost everyone I work with day to day. As with anywhere you look there are exceptions to this but far less here than other places I've experienced or read about. - Its nice to work on something you believe in. At Riot you get to work on the League of Legends game and brand. There are only a handful of companies in the industry that can match that in terms of the numbers of players you can reach with your work. - Brandon and Marc are legitimately awesome. You couldn't ask for better, more involved leadership.

Cons

- You HAVE to have a strong personality. Reviews that have stated that people who push their project harder get more done aren't inaccurate. The company won't spend resources on bad ideas but competing good ones will rely heavily on the personality of their owners to succeed. Riot isn't a place for passive people, you'll get left in the dust. - Drink the kool-aid, its delicious, and in all honesty isn't a trick. If you don't 100% see yourself in alignment with Riot's vision and goals (which they make very apparent to you during the interview and on-boarding processes) you might as well just walk away because you won't fit in or get anything accomplished. - Questionable compensation for junior employees. Until i got a promotion or two I was pretty disgusted with my compensation. In their defense, it was remedied (at least for me) after I expressed this to leadership.

Egos are rewarded you have to be really good at self promotion, the company is so big that you can feel lost if you don't invest in networking often, layoffs happen at Riot now

Player focus, some of the coolest games on the planet, Riot does a great job of creating an environment where people can succeed and thrive

Crunch is on the rise, fiscal discipline on exploration is still too loose, lots of layers of management
