Pros
Although Riptide has been over for 20+ years, the team is great to work with. Management including the CEO are afraid to take chances on folks with little experience and give them an environment to really learn an begin to master their craft. Ideas to improve processes are listened to and even tried if its found it could provide some value. Working on the commercial side of the business has given me the opportunity to work with customers of all technical abilities across many different industries. Coming to Riptide has easily advanced my career 5+ years in terms of experience and management of a team. Riptide is willing to take the chance on people with little industry experience and give them the opportunity to learn and succeed. If you have the drive and self-starter attitude, this will be a great place for you to get your career started or even learn the latest and greatest tech stacks that we work with! This company places more value on experience and ability to perform over formal education, but higher education benefits are available. Riptide also constantly encourages you to broaden your skill base through certifications across many different platforms. Obtaining these various certifications is paid for by Riptide and even offer a bonus for the more you old and maintain.
Cons
Of course in a professional services environment the pace of development is expected to be high. Some days are more stressful than others and workload can become daunting especially being new to the industry. Work/life balance makes up for it!
