Cons
Previous ED, Jodi Pincus, was the number one con. Jodi defined bad management. She was lazy and let her biases run RSEC. She created a work dynamic that fed to her ego and only promoted those that followed in line. The feedback most summer employees gave were that the program training modules were outdated. The same modules were used year after year. As far as sustainable practices go, Rising Sun fails. They should have their funders QA their waste disposal practices. I'd recommend an audit on their reporting practices. There are so many other sustainability non-profits that could use the funding wasted by RSEC. Leadership makes significantly more than the highest paid employee. Rising Sun is one of those non-profits that is run by white people that are ,"woke". They need to take a real look at themselves in the mirror, make some major changes and ask themselves, who are they really serving?
