Pros
Beer/wine in office. Allowed to work from home (usually, but based on the changes, this could change too).
Cons
No transparency...zero. They even told us we didn't make our bonuses but would not reveal the details, i.e. what goal level we actually hit and how far off we were. They just simply said, 'we did not hit our goal level'. The company was recently purchased by a VC company. We were told, we will not be laying off anyone, we just want to work more efficiently. Sure enough, another round of layoffs happened this week. This is the 3rd or 4th round of layoffs in the past few years.
