Pros
Autonomy, flexibility and a CEO who really cares about creating workplace culture that people want to be a part of. As a start-up (albeit a rapidly evolving start-up) Rival and the RCG give people the opportunity to create their own success. If you are a genuine self starter you will thrive. If you like being left to your own devices and given the autonomy to make decisions (good and bad) you'll love it here. If you want structure and a Eddie 9-5 job (and don't get me wrong there is absolutely nothing wring with that) you're going to need struggle a bit.
Cons
Many people claim they thrive in ambiguity, the truth is most do not. Rival is a very self directed workplace. While it's fun and fast-paced it is also a little bit fragmented and hectic at times. The vision and mission is getting more clear, but it is a challenging time and opportunities seem to be everywhere. It is hard not to chase ideas. But this is no more and no less than most tech companies, but it is not for everyone. If you can find calm in chaos, stay focussed on what's most important and actually be "agile" then Rival and RCG is a great place.
