Pros
Working at River Island has enabled me to gain various skills and build relationships with my team and customers. The most important skills I feel Ive learnt are communication skills, upselling, cross selling, promoting offers confidentally and reaching daily targets. As well as these skills, River Island always keeps me up to date with future trends and has taught me that working as a team as well as an individual is vital. I love that I have the opportunity to give customers the best shopping experience with a team who know exactly what theyre doing to help achieve this. Lastly, thank you for increasing our discount to 40% as this has made me feel appreciated and ive been able to treat a lot more of my family as well as myself.
Cons
Although there are more Pros than Cons, I do have to address some. I work for your Winchester branch and unfortunately you havent renewed the lease of the property. I completely understand that this may of have to be done beyond your control, however, due to being a University Student I wont be able to afford travel to a nearer store. Seeing as we are closing our store on Feb 6th, I wish we had more time to find a job as the closing date is incredibly close and need extra income for student needs. Apart from this, Ive always loved working for River Island and would not hesistate to work for you again in the future if I do choose the redundancy route.
