Pros
It kinda sucks but in the end I guess it is a positive – but you are forced interact with people that don't care at all because you are selling them products from a table inside of Sam's Club. If you get "promoted" (no pay raise) to leader, you learn about managing inventory, interviewing people, and leading a team. So overall, you gain some good experience from it. The boss is really cool too.
Cons
They glorify this job during the interview process and basically inform you that you can become a young, rich CEO with all of the freedom in the world in a year or two (if it sounds too good to be true, well...) The say PR assistant or Marketing assistant to lure in college student/grads, but in reality you just waste a ton of gas dragging inventory to Sam's club, and then spend two weeks on that rotation trying to sell products from a table you set up after store hours. If you're looking for a job description, here: 1.) Hour long morning meetings every weekday (weekends once you get to Leader) 2.) Drive to one of the many Sam's Clubs in the area.. sometimes an hour+ away 3.) Spend anywhere from 5-7 hours standing in Sam's Club, going up to anyone and everyone saying "Hey check this out" then blatantly turning away in hope's that they follow you to the booth. Shoppers get so annoyed with you and you feel like a total bozo, standing there in your dress clothes selling heating pads to some old lady. The jobs sucks. BUT it sucks so bad that it makes your next job seem awesome. It is good experience but you'll wake up every day dreading work. The employee turnover rate is seriously unreal. A entire new office of people each month.
