Pros

I have been employed at Robbins Brothers for over 10 years, but it wasn't until the past month that I experienced first-hand how much upper management and the entire company really does put a priority on what is truly important in life: Family. My husband had a sudden and unexpected medical tragedy that put him in a coma for a week before he passed away at the young age of 51. My coworkers were there with me everyday, sometimes twice a day, and some would even spend the night at the hospital to keep me company, offer support and help watch our daughter. My boss even rearranged his Thanksgiving weekend plans so he could be at the hospital. After my husband passed away my coworkers were at my house everyday with food and encouraging words, and they even donated food to my church so they could feed the 300+ friends and family members who attended the memorial service. Many companies talk about culture, but Robbins Brothers showed me, my family and my husband's extended family what it looks like when a company practices what they preach. The love and compassion have helped me to get through the most horrible time of my life, and for that I will be forever grateful.

Cons

Challenges of the economy, combined with the rising costs of metals and diamonds from the suppliers, have been tough on everyone who works in this industry.

Pros

Learning how to build resilience while working with toxic management and unprofessional VP

Cons

If you’re considering working at Robbins Brothers, it’s important to understand that the role is not fully transparent during the hiring process. The company operates on a tier system, but many locations lack sufficient traffic and sales opportunities to realistically maintain those tiers. Employees work long shifts with high expectations and constant micromanagement from both the VP and store managers, while earning a base pay of $16/hour. Additionally, commission is not earned unless sales exceed $48,500—a detail that is not clearly communicated upfront. The location I worked at was overstaffed and managed by untrained leadership, resulting in a toxic and unhealthy work environment.
