I've been in marketing for over 15 years. I've worked at digital agencies, full-service agencies, and boutique agencies. This is the first agency I've been a part of where there culture, structure and expectations are aligned. The focus is practical, and candidly, refreshing. There is no fluff. No marketing theatre. Expectations are high. Rightfully so. But that can sometimes lead to ambiguity around what “great” looks like in newer, evolving roles. Clarity around role success metrics earlier in the onboarding process help team members hit the ground running with more confidence and add value faster. As the agency grows and evolves, staying tightly aligned across departments can be challenging. Communication is solid, but with so many moving pieces, gaps in cross-functional clarity can pop up. More touch points or shared planning tools could smooth that out.

You had to keep your camera on for every meeting, and you had an average of 4-5 meetings/day that could've been handled via email. It felt like you were in a startup environment, even though they've been in this "startup" mentality for the past 12 years or so. Any problem that occurred would get blamed on employees, even if it was Leadership's fault. Leadership also has a bad bias towards their female employees. All of my coworkers I enjoyed working with left, and that was my sign that things were not the same. I know change is normal, but the amount of times they changed or with how long they've been in business and still figuring things out is not normal.
