1. Training was awful - due to critical reviews, it was updated eventually. No follow up training to those who missed out on critical information; we had to learn on the job.
2. Management held individuals to different standards from each other. One claim from one employee looked impeccable with great follow up while customers would bombard the phones looking for updates from other adjusters who had hardly any notes or information.
3. Prepare to be overworked - you're salary for a reason. Comments I repeatedly heard were, "Well, to stay top, you're going to have to work outside of your scheduled hours"
4. Don't expect help when you're overwhelmed - I would repeatedly tell my supervisor this and would get radio silence for DAYS. Each adjuster, at one point(not sure if it's still the same now or not), held over 50 active claims for 2+ months in a row while being told they weren't hiring for months but continued to promote people from within leaving the lower end departments inundated with claims.
5. When it came time for talks about covid, we would repeatedly hear, "The CEO doesn't believe in getting the vaccine, he's going to encourage you to do what you want but never follow mandates." Then, the conversation would go to returning to the actual work building which continuously gets pushed back because covid is spiking around the city(geeeee, can't wonder why with an attitude like that......)
