Pros

Global brand reputation is still strong, there are some nice people working there

Cons

Unlike other SAS offices, SAS Middle Office has never been even nominated for the Best Employer awards, and there is good a reason why. It's all a big clique of friends and relatives working together. If you aren't Lebanese then you won't be respected, recognized or appreciated, and please forget about chance to make a career. Despite pretty statements no one is really interested in working together. While HR is clueless and powerless, managers are more interested in office politics, blatant gossiping and blaming others for lack of progress and their mistakes instead of actually taking care their people or their work. Company lacks progress, process and drive to strive as an organization as a whole. Sales team is very inefficient which is surprising for such a well known and used global product. Work/life balance is non-existent if you are not some sort of a manager, expect working long hours as well as weekends without any sort of compensation or even appreciation.

Pros

Benefits: health coverage, on-site gym, childcare, healthcare center, and more. Work-life balance: predictable hours, flexibility for parents and a culture that doesn't expect you to grind 60-hour weeks.

Cons

Compensation lags the market, slow career advancement and promotions can take years. Change-resistant culture and new ideas move slowly. Leadership team manages up to just one person.
