Pros
Solid financially, good vacation time, good job security, nice cafeteria, onsite healthcare, onsite gym, good if you have kids and can get them into daycare (based on seniority)
Cons
The benefits have been shrinking - greatly. If you are single then the pay and benefits are below what you would get elsewhere for the same work. The only benefit that I hear parents say that keeps them there is the daycare. Don't believe the 35 hour hype. That is only for people who are non-IT. If you are in IT it is a major pressure cooker. I am seeing lots of people leaving because they can get better work conditions and benefits else where. Little room for moving up. And difficult to move laterally unless you have been with the company for 20 years.
