Pros

Occasional year end bonuses, work is Monday through Friday, regular business hours, 40 hours a week is standard, maybe some overtime

Cons

Would give zero stars if it was an option. Micromanagement (to the extreme), bad benefits, stuffy, negative vibe everywhere you go. Think of the movie Office Space but in the construction industry. They put cameras at every location and call you if you're doing something they don't like. This happens quite a bit. If one person whines about something trivial, the WHOLE company has to change what they do in order to appease the whiner, which happens a couple times a month. Also, the company issued iPhones a while back. It appeared to be a great idea until they opted to put tracking apps on everyone's phones. Once this started, the sales people were getting questioned about where they were, how come you were here, why weren't you there, why did you visit this location for only 5 minutes, etc, etc, etc. Probably the best regional sales guy in the state left and went up North to MUCH better run company due to all of this craziness. His numbers and professionalism were off the chart but Scafco was more interested in babysitting than appreciating their employees. The owner is a good guy but I guess he doesn't want to be the one who gets in his employees business... so, in turn, those delegated to run things micromanage and mess life up for everyone else on a regular basis. This is a company that people go to die, career wise. It would be wise to look elsewhere for employment. I am a former employee leaving an honest review. If you read a review that contradicts the above info, I'd be careful. As much as the company watches what you do, monitors your computer use and spies on it's employees, it wouldn't surprise me if they had a couple of their "yes man zombies" come on this site and give fake reviews. LOOK OUT and do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Pros

I finally get to work for a company that knows where it’s headed!

Cons

Nothing matters to me except the long-term career prospects, and I see those in spades here!

Pros

If you work at HQ, your day-to-day experience at SCAFCO/The Stone Group will depend heavily on your team. Mine happened to be amazing, which was enough to keep me at the company for nearly three years. Work-life balance and health insurance were both great.

Cons

Top-level leadership can be temperamental and prone to micromanagement. I was fortunate to have a manager who successfully insulated my team from the worst of it, but be aware that if you or your workstation are within eyeshot of the CEO at any point, you are under more scrutiny than you think. I was reprimanded for things like having a spare pair of shoes tucked under my desk and arriving at the fitness center two minutes into my lunch hour. Compensation was low, PTO was minimal, and leadership staunchly refused to allow remote work for most corporate employees, even during the pandemic.
