Pros
The culture is pretty good as a whole but it does really depend on the team you are on and your leader for the day to day stuff. The new building is great along with the facilities like the workout room, the cafe and the well maintained grounds. The company's handling of the pandemic has been extremely appreciated, letting associates make as many of their own personal health decisions as possible while still trying to protect the larger group. Leadership is focused on growth and expansion which may help create new career opportunities. Dave Gross is a leader that shows character and compassion for people that is often unheard of in that type of position. You would never know that he is the CEO when you walk into the building and meet him. A brief encounter will help restore a piece of your view of humanity that is so easily tattered in today's world.
Cons
The benefits are ok but nothing awesome. Overall SECURA tends to try and be just good enough from a benefits and pay standpoint, but it is nothing they try to compete on. The more that people ask for something, like vacation carry-over, the more fervently HR stands their ground on their policies. It's not a very promising time to enter IT. There is a lot of tension and negativity. The typical SECURA culture does not often carry over here, with certain individuals being granted high levels of influence while having some of the most negative and toxic attitudes. On top of that, a recent large project has allowed several IT professionals to report outside of IT and further promote an elitist type of atmosphere. There are many talented people with great attitudes that are stuck in the shadows because they are not one of the few who are given a voice.
