In all honesty, working here was one of the worst professional experiences of my career. My first red flag should have been the interview process, which consisted of four interviews that took over four months! Twice I had to contact the owner 2-3 times between interviews before they responded. I believed working with a recruiter would speed up the application process and help find the right fit, in the end I simply felt pressured into taking what turned out to be a terrible job. Within the first week after starting here, several frustrations came up including an overall lack of organization at the firm, poor time management from leadership, and a complete misrepresentation of the size of the firm. The owner does not provide the tools nor the direction required to help staff do their job. Feedback provided about the work is vague and yet expected to be perfect. The owner does not manage any type of calendar and so it is almost impossible to schedule meetings internally with the team and externally with clients. Meetings almost always ran over time, sometimes by more than two hours. On several occasions, it was uncomfortably clear that clients were also frustrated with the lack of preparedness during meetings and bad time management. Lastly, upon accepting the job I was under the impression that the firm was around 15 full-time employees; within the first day or two, it was obvious the firm was only three full-time employees and a few contract workers. It is still unclear to me why the owner lied about such an easily disproven fact about their company. Overall, I would not work here again even if they offered twice my current salary. The mental stress is not worth it.
