Pros
Freedom to work on a lot of different small projects, especially if you take initiative and have an interest in picking up new skills. Nice people and good work/life balance. Low turnover is a testament to the fact that people enjoy working here.
Cons
Salaries aren't super competitive if your skillset is valuable to the big silicon valley tech companies. Not a ton of career advancement opportunities if you aren't interested in writing lots of proposals and/or being a supervisor. Advancement also slow because of the low turnover.
