Cons
I was reporting to the CEO earlier, but that got changed and I was made to report to someone who comes with extensive experience in Testing. I had KT sessions with the person who was earlier rejected for the same role, but was brought in again through strong reference. This new person comes with extensive experience in PMO & Operations. The KT included telling him the difference between Gross Salary and Net Salary, and this person is my replacement! Towards the end, the employee who referred me didn’t bother to interact with me even on a professional note, let alone warn me about what is coming my way. • Constant assurance from the MD that they do not follow “Hire & Fire” policy; you later get to know that is exactly their motto. Anybody can be fired at any point of time for any or no reason at all. • You are hired as a consultant for 3-4 months, and are expected to work in exchange for no salary / compensation at all, in the name of exposure and experience • The recruitment team has the worst English possible, with the weirdest accent. I wonder how the candidates understood what they spoke. • Attrition rate is worse than BPOs. Good employees are absolutely not valued, no measure for retention taken for good productive employees. • Those who suck up to the management or their reporting managers are the protected ones, shielded from all problems and their own faults as well • I helped my team streamline processes and maintain data properly, increasing efficiency of the team, but all those efforts were ignored and I was found at fault for trivial issues. • The management holds grudges against you. They don’t like your face, they ensure you don’t get a pay raise or even a good time at work. • Annual appraisals here happen in October, and not in March. And the max pay raise a high performer gets is between 5-8%. Of course you are related to them or suck up to them on a regular basis, you can get a raise of upto20-25%. • People are randomly moved to any role irrespective of their skills and competencies. • The highlight of this company is that they don’t believe in your interests and your skills. They know what is right for you, thanks to this stupid tool they have made. The test result you get on that damned tool decides if you are “good fit for the company” and the “best fit for which role”. • Common strategies used here to force an employee to resign: o The management decides what role you are fit for, and moving you to a team that is not even remotely related to your skills, interests or even experience o The reporting manager for the recruitment head and his team is someone with 10+ years of experience in Testing
