Pros

Very cool people. Gain experience fast.

Cons

It’s a very toxic work place with no diversity at the leadership level. For a female-founded company, sexism is prevalent. Intelligent and ambitious women are routinely silenced in favour of white males who “talk the talk”. There are very few opportunities for growth and learning. Sporadically changing direction almost weekly at the whim of the exec team. Basically, what SF blog did they read last night and completely boil down to one idea, missing the complete understanding? That’s our new plan of action. Tons of qualified and talented employees throughout the company, but all decisions are made at exec level; consistently at odds with employee (expert) opinions. Not metric-driven whatsoever— metrics are subjectively chosen that support the story the leadership wants to share. It’s where talented humans go to burn out. You’re constantly doing the job of five people; while simultaneously being micromanaged by the exec team, who don’t listen or value anything you say. Do not listen to 5 star planted reviews. Listen to the common prevalent themes in all the 1-3 star reviews: burn out, lack of direction, no diversity, no autonomy, and toxicity.

Pros

Most of the people in the company are hardworking, respectful and deserve way better than the toxic culture they're stuck in.

Cons

Toxic leadership. Don't let all the fake 5 star reviews fool you. This place is as toxic as it gets. The biggest issues are the volatile COO who walks around the factory screaming at people whenever he pleases, and the President whos favourite hobby is making people feel like idiots for god forbid asking questions. They're both abusive and miserable to be around and make the work environment unbearable. When I first started here we had a great working environment and over the past few months it's become the most miserable place I have ever worked. Everyone is on edge and constantly afraid of being screamed at or fired.
