I have worked at Starry Associates for 8 years and have been grateful for the benefits given to me. This is a small woman owned business which pays 100% of the healthcare benefits for each employee as well as disability and life insurance. They contribute to my HSA account and my 401k. I have received an increase every year as well as a bonus at the end of every year. When the government shut down a few years ago, Starry paid my salary for 2 weeks. I have not experienced women being paid less than men. As a government contractor, the rates are usually fixed so it doesn’t matter if a man or woman fills a specific position – the pay is the same.
