Pros
Gas card, expense card, good hourly wage, company truck
Cons
The company had 3 reps video interview me and said I was 10 out of 10 on their list. A couple weeks later they emailed me an offer letter and I accepted. They flew me to alabama, got a rental car, and put me in a nice hotel for a week of training. It cost the company around $2000 to do that. After a week of training in which I thought I did extremely well, sts group sent me back home in a company truck towing some equipment for a project. On monday I was told to drop off the equipment by Orlando and head back home since it was a 6 hour drive. When I got home at 5:30pm that day someone rang my doorbell and when I answered it was one of the trainers from alabama. He told me I was being let go because "the company decided to go in a different direction in the area" he took the truck and left. In order to be able to work remotely for STS group I had to put my best friend a Siberian husky down early. In order to look good at training I had to borrow money from family for clothes, shoes, a fresh haircut etc. Sts group left me dogless, jobless, and penniless. Without a REAL explanation why I was being terminated. After I bragged to everyone I knew what an amazing job I found. I was so embarrassed. I thought I would reach out to the CEO because no one I talked to could believe how STS group could do something like that to an employee. The CEO wrote back that he wasnt involved in the decision to terminate but trusts his leaders made the right decision for his company. He didn't bother to look why I was terminated and didn't bother to call me. Why would you want to work for a company that does something like this to you. Especially since one of their core values is "Be Nice". That wasn't very nice. In fact I wouldn't wish what happened to me on my worst enemy.
