Pros

Edge trained me to become a Licensed Pesticide Applicator. Great Branch Manager who was very flexible and understanding. Middle Management does the best they can with the role they're expected to perform. Company Vehicle provided for to and from work. Company fuel card provided. Company uniforms provided. Training given most days of the week for about 30 minutes.

Cons

Long Hours, you are expected to be available for work 5 days a week from 7am -9pm. High Turnover rate, almost everyone that works there does not make it to the year mark. Driving 50-100 miles a day due to poor route management. Not being compensated for your drive time. 5-9pm Time windows, you will often complete all the houses on your route and then have to wait multiple hours to go to these time slots. Office staff often have no idea how the companys Integrated Pest Management program works. Salesmen often lie to customers to sell program packages. Unsafe exposure to Hazardous Chemicals. Safety for the health of the Service Specialists is often ignored. When I was working the Mosquito Blower Backpacks leaked all over myself and my fellow employees litterally all summer long. When management was told about this issue they said to just deal with it. Often times management only cares about completing the service and making sure their numbers reflect well on them for their bosses. No room for advancement. Low pay. Commission structure is to benefit the company not the employee. Allows the company to not have to pay overtime for working their employees 10+ hours a day. Employee Moral was absolutely terrible and made it a struggle to go to work everyday. Company does not provide you with a phone and expects you to use your personal cell phone for work. They do not even cover your cell phone bill, just a small insignificant stipend.

Pros

Really great people and a strong culture. I’ve had many opportunities to learn and take on new things, which I appreciate. It’s a fast-moving environment, so you’re never bored, and you get exposure to different parts of the business. Leadership does care about development and giving people opportunities to grow.

Cons

It’s a fast-paced environment, so you have to be comfortable adapting and wearing multiple hats. Because the company is growing, things can evolve quickly, which keeps you on your toes. If you like a super rigid structure, it might take some adjusting.

Pros

- Genuine opportunity for professional, personal, and financial growth. Over my three years here, I’ve seen real change in my confidence, skills, and overall direction in life. - Strong culture that encourages growth and accountability. The environment pushes you to improve yourself, take ownership of your work, and recognize your potential. - Clear path for advancement. I started in an entry-level role and have been able to progress to a point where I’m now on a path toward leadership, which shows the company promotes from within. - Supportive leadership and mentorship. The training and guidance I’ve received have helped me develop valuable skills and prepared me for greater responsibility. - Opportunities to build a long-term career, not just work a job. The company invests in its people and gives you the tools and opportunities needed to grow if you’re willing to put in the effort. - Increased responsibility and trust over time. As I’ve grown, I’ve been trusted with more, which has helped me develop both professionally and personally.

Cons

• The role requires a high level of self-motivation and accountability. While this creates strong individuals, it can be difficult for those who need more structured guidance early on and it seems to effect turn over rate of employees
