Pros

Hewlett Packard is the parent company offering good benefits package and vacation. Flexible work hours, many locations on the east and west coasts.

Cons

Large salary discrepancies for veteran and newly hired employees doing the same work, with veterans taking the hit, Few, irregular, and low raises and bonuses, mostly going to the same individuals year after year, Management is acutely aware of these issues and year after year refuses to correct these unethical practices, Managers do not positively motivate staff, fear-based management style, Federal government contract work, constant fear of losing contract, No control over work, no decision making capability, Work has moved from results based to production line, High stress, tight time-lines, human error is not tolerated, constant fear of job loss over minor errors, Management is top heavy with multiple layers and overlapping roles, No real career advancement opportunities with only a handful of job titles, within the same salary ranges, and highly publicized practice of added responsibilities and no raise, High turn-over of staff due to dissatisfaction.

Pros

The mission is incredible and the pay is very reasonable

Cons

The senior leadership on the Medicaid side Macro manages (not Micro), show no trust in managers or audit staff and is constantly making changes. Being involved in every decision shows no trust or support of staff. Moral is probably the worst of any place I have ever worked, and it ALL points back to managers and more pointedly Senior leaders. Some day there will be a huge lawsuit
