The leadership team, mainly based in Spain, were old fashioned, traditional, and lacked understanding of how working practices have evolved. I was shouted at in meetings, saw staff being berated and laughed at by leadership for asking questions, and witnessed countless racist, homophobic, transphobic and misogynistic comments and emails. Feedback to leadership on these issues was not taken seriously or addressed. The company's limited benefits were marred by rules and restrictions. The one work-from-home day permitted per week was, in reality, frowned upon and could only be taken if you worked at a location within a certain distance of the office, making it difficult for employees to maintain a healthy work-life balance. In the day-to-day work, I was constantly told I was wrong when presenting information. Even when I made grammatical and spelling corrections to clear errors in documents, I was told my changes were not in line with the company's tone of voice. It was like being constantly gaslit. I have genuinely never worked somewhere as challenging as this, and I'm very glad it's over.
