Pros

I have a job (for however long that lasts). There used to be a lot of pros but they are now cons.

Cons

Used to be very employee focused but with the recent layoffs and they horrible way that they were handled, Sage has stricken fear into employees and made us all acutely aware that their jobs are no longer secure. Upper management has destroyed all trust with it's employees with recent actions. Customer Service week was a big deal and would give employees snacks/swag but this year Sage just completely ignored it. Fiscal Year Kickoff was also a big deal and employees usually received a shirt to hoodie. Again, this year it was basically ignored and downplayed by Sage. Made the announcement that there would be layoffs and than made everyone wait a month to see if they would be laid off or not. No chance at promotion. Especially if you are of a certain color/sex.

Thank you for your review. The experience of our colleagues is a central priority for Sage, as is the experience of our customers and other stakeholders. As you say, we have recently made some decisions about the roles and skills that Sage will need as we move forward, and we understand how difficult these changes are for our colleagues. We believe that how people are treated as they leave the business is a test of our values and culture, and affected colleagues have been offered outplacement support and the chance to apply for other roles within Sage. We understand that we can continually improve and encourage you to provide feedback to your manager or via Always listening surveys to highlight your concerns regarding business changes and promotion opportunities. Diversity, inclusivity, and fairness are at the core of our culture. We have an ongoing focus on ensuring diversity of thought and experience across Sage, including a fair approach to progression and opportunities for development.

Pros

Work life balance is the strongest attribute at Sage. Family matters and mental stablity is supported. Top notch benefits.

Cons

Departments with mixed roles of similar tasks, yet separate teams without collaboration.

Pros

was hired as remote and get to have that honored, but have been openly told no career progression because of remote status. decent pay

Cons

Leadership instability: Seven manager changes during my relatively short tenure. Unrealistic targets: A sales quota set at 1,100% growth (not a typo). Slow product development: Getting anything actioned on the product side takes far too long. Product management turnover: Three product manager changes, resulting in no meaningful deliverables in over three years. Misaligned hiring priorities: Greater emphasis on DEI optics than on hiring people positioned to drive growth. Internal vs. customer focus: More energy spent on internal events than on product enhancements. Lack of accountability (the biggest issue): No one takes ownership. Responsibility gets passed around constantly — for example, client cancellations going unprocessed because they impact someone's numbers. Managers have openly encouraged pushing the work onto someone else rather than handling it.
